Bible Verse of the Day November 1, 2026: Psalm 65:11
“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.” (Psalm 65:11, KJV)
Meaning of the Verse
David praises God for His provision over the whole year. A new month is a good time to look back at what God has done and forward to what He will do.
“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness”
A crown is a sign of honour and abundance. God does not only get us through the year. He adds His goodness to it, even in seasons we found hard.
“And thy paths drop fatness”
The picture is of God’s paths overflowing with richness, like a harvest cart leaving a trail of grain. Where God leads, there is provision.
Context
Psalm 65 is a harvest song of thanksgiving. David thanks God for answering prayer, forgiving sin and watering the land so that it produces food.
How to Apply It Today
- Write down three ways God was good to you in October.
- Say aloud, “Lord, I place November in Your hands.”
- Carry that gratitude into worship today, since it is also Sunday.
Short Prayer
Lord, thank You for crowning this year with Your goodness. Lead me through November, and let Your paths be full of provision and peace. Amen.
